"Quiz Wiz" Daily Newspaper Quiz 2024- Report

The "Quiz Wiz" daily newspaper quiz, conducted by the library, has been instrumental in fostering a habit of newspaper reading among students. Running from 11:45 AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday to Friday, it engages 40 students from classes VI to XII. The quiz is conducted in two rounds: the first is an open round, and the second is a rapid-fire round for the top five students from the first round. Daily winners are awarded the Quiz Wiz Badge, and the student with the most badges at the end of the month is named the Jackpot Winner, earning the privilege to act as a Quiz Master the following month. This initiative not only promotes reading but also enhances students' general knowledge and quick-thinking abilities.

Objective:
To enrich the newspaper reading habit among students.

 

Schedule:

• Time: 11:45 AM to 12:00 Noon
• Days: Monday to Friday

Student Quiz Masters:

• Nia Vineesh, XII A
• Meenakshi, IX B
• Aiswarya, IX B
• Muhammed Muzammil, VIII B
• Rudra Mahesh, VIII C

Each day, two of the above student quiz masters conduct the quiz.

Participation:

• 40 students from classes VI to XII are selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Quiz Format:

• Round One: Open to all participating students.
• The first five students who answer five questions correctly advance to Round Two.
• Round Two: Rapid Fire Round.
• The winner is selected based on their performance in this round.

Awards:

• The winner of each day's quiz is awarded the "Quiz Wiz Badge."
• The student who accumulates the most Quiz Wiz Badges over the month is titled "Jackpot Winner."
• The Jackpot Winner is given the opportunity to serve as a Quiz Master for the next month.
